T-house A house located in a residential area in a suburb of Tokyo. A terrace is built on the 2nd floor, and its position is set in a space between houses which stand to the south of it. The terrace brings sunlight and wind into the rooms, and also gives a unique view from its elevation. Two different types of panels have been randomly put on the exterior wall. Aluminum drainers have been installed at horizontal joints, sticking out of the wall, in order to avoid monotony.
House for Two Dogs 都心の小高い住宅地に建つ若い夫婦と2匹のダックスフンドの為の住宅。外観、インテリアとも、単純な形にいくつかの変形が加えられてつくられています。玄関から2階のリビングスペースまでの内部動線は、脚の短いダックスフンドが自由に上り下りできるよう緩やかな階段にしつらえられています。この緩い特徴ある階段が家全体にゆったりとした心地よい時間軸を与えてくれています。道路側の大きな窓からは高層ビル群を眺望できます。。
House for two dogs A house located in a residential area in the center of Tokyo. The house is designed for a young couple and two miniature dachshund dogs. Its form and internal spaces are designed by being changed from a simple figure. A staircase which connects the 1st floor and the 2nd floor is easy for the dogs to navigate because of its gradual slope. The staircase also gives a feeling of characteristic interior space to the house. A wide window facing a street offers a wonderful view of Tokyo skyscrapers.
House in the corner A house located in a residential area in a suburban city, Japan. A courtyard, which is surrounded by an L-shaped structure and cube buildings, opens to the south. The courtyard leads to a street on the west of the site through a narrow alley between two structures. Its semi-openness gives a loose connection between the south street and a living room. The L-shaped building contains a bathroom with a private terrace on the 2nd floor. Two garages and the living room, which are laid out on the 1st floor, connect to the courtyard at the same revel. The cube building contains bedrooms. It stands on the street corner, therefore, becoming a landmark in the residential area.
